Dr. Lauren Saroli

Dr. Saroli grew up on Long Island, NY, and has spent time around the world in Honduras, Australia, South East Asia, and the Caribbean for schooling, as well as traveling as her favorite hobby. She received her BS in Zoology with a minor in Chemistry from the SUNY Oswego Honors Program in New York. After a gap year in Australia, she continued to Veterinary School in St. Kitts & Nevis, where she graduated with honors from Ross University in 2022 and spent her clinical year at the University of Illinois. Dr. Saroli completed an externship with Express Vets in early 2022 and fell in love with the company, exceptional doctors, staff, and clientele. She states she could not imagine herself going anywhere else after graduation. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian so far has been gaining experience from her mentors and being able to build relationships with her clients and patients. When Dr. Saroli is not working, you can usually find her spending time with her family/friends, enjoying some music, or hanging out with her adorable rescue pup, Roo.

Dr. Maria Salazar

Dr. Salazar received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in 1997 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. After she graduated, she completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She then moved to Boca Raton, Florida, where she practiced for four years. Afterward, she relocated to Woodstock with her family and has been here since then. Her primary interests include dermatology and ophthalmology, as well as preventative medicine.

Dr. Salazar lives in Woodstock with her family: she has three children, and their lives are completed by their fur babies Charlie, a sweet beagle mix; Happy, a beautiful long-haired gray and white kitty; Domino, a mischievous little kitten, and Sweet Potato, the feline princess of the house. When she is not at work, she enjoys her free time with her family at school football and basketball games, volleyball tournaments, mountain bike races, and dance recitals. Her hobbies include photography and gardening, and her favorite type of vacation is anywhere there is a beach! She is so blessed to be a part of such a special team where she can offer the very best medicine to maintain the health of your fur babies and the human-animal bond. Being fully bilingual in English and Spanish, she considers herself a useful team member able to help our Spanish-speaking community and their pets.

Chelsie Wheeler

Chelsie is a receptionist at Express Vets and joined our North Canton team in 2021. She grew up in Blairsville, GA and has always had a love for animals. She worked in pet retail for over 8 years before joining our team and currently has 3 dogs, 2 pot bellied pigs, 2 cats, and 2 reptiles. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, and vacationing with her husband.

Haley Copen

Haley joined our team in October of 2022 as one of our Veterinary Assistants. She grew up in the pumpkin-loving town of Sycamore, Illinois where her love for animals first began. After moving to Georgia, she progressed into the veterinary medicine field and later worked at a shelter, developing a passion for working with shelter animals. Haley is a student at Penn Foster and is currently working on obtaining her Veterinary Technician degree. She has a rescue pitbull, named Junie B, a tabby named Gus Gus, and a schnauzer named Toby who she thinks looks like Sam Elliot. When she’s not studying or spending time with her family and friends, she’s dueling people with her lightsabers.
